Selcuk Uni. Starts Producing Switchgrass
Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum) is known as a very promising biofuel foodstock and is produced only in North America.
However, Mr. Suleyman Soylu (professor at Selcuk University in Konya) says that they have started cultivating switchgrass within the premises of the faculty for trial since 2007 and expect the cultivation to be generalised within the farmers by supplying the seeds.
