Güriş Holding Provides 25% of Turkey’s Geothermal Production

GÜRİŞ Holding becomes Turkey’s first and Europe’s second largest geothermal energy producer, with a capacity of 232 MW

In a statement from the Holding, upon completion of the third unit of Efeler Geothermal Power Plant in Aydin,  GÜRİŞ will be providing electricity and heating needs of 825.000 houses and business premises, every year. According to the same statement, following this investment the compnay will be meeting 25 % of Turkey’s total geothermal energy production alone. GÜRİŞ currently produces 7.5 % of the electricity produced from wind energy in Turkey at the same time.
